Regarding Measure KK and Safety via a Fire Evacuation Experience:

The video link at the left is an example of one family’s fire evacuation reality in the Bryant Ranch area of Yorba Linda. This family has had to evacuate four (4) times due to fire threat and one time for mudslides after a fire. The City of Yorba Linda’s Hazard Mitigation Plan declares this part of the city as a Very High Fire Hazard Severity Zone with 4000+ single family homes, condominiums, and apartments sharing one singular evacuation route to exit - that route is La Palma Avenue.

-This Yorba Linda family recommends a YES vote on JJ and a NO vote on KK to help ensure the safety of ALL Yorba Lindans.

Regarding Housing and Land Use:

“As your City of Yorba Linda Parks and Recreation Commissioner and City Council Candidate, I will put residents first by opposing high density housing projects that would bring more crime and overcrowding to our city. Yorba Lindans, not Sacramento politicians, should be making our city’s housing and land use decisions. I recommend a RESOUNDING YES ON JJ AND NO ON KK.”

- Jess Battaglia, City of Yorba Linda Parks and Recreation Commissioner and City Council Candidate

Regarding Measure KK - Bryant Ranch Shopping Center:

“During my five-year tenure on the Yorba Linda Traffic Commission, not one resident appeared to make public comments to complain about industrial uses on the eastern end of Yorba Linda.”

-Anthony Johnson, City of Yorba Linda Traffic Commissioner and City Council Candidate

Regarding Measure JJ- Yorba Linda Local Control:

Regarding Measure JJ and Measure KK:

As Chairman of the Yorba Linda Planning Commission, I want to emphasize that during my years on both the Planning and Traffic Commissions, no public concerns were raised about industrial uses, truck traffic, or new businesses like Iron Mike's, the RV repair shop, and U-Haul on the east side. The only traffic concerns we received were regarding the Bryant Ranch shopping center when it was considered for the housing element. I strongly urge a 'YES' vote on Measure JJ” and 'NO vote on Measure KK' to keep our community in control of its future.”

- Shivinder Singh, City of Yorba Linda Planning Commissioner (Chairman 2024), and  Yorba Linda City Council Candidate (2024)
